I am going to miss you so much Melchih, your smile, your willingness to do, your hugs, your running up to me on Sunday's asking "what are we singing today?" I remember the first time you played the drums for the PK's when we were done singing the smile on your face was contagious, you did such a great job! On saturday the PK's rehearsed what we were going to sing for Aalliyah's benefit program which was "I belong To God". Before the service started you ask me "what are we singing"? and I said "you tell me" because we had just rehearsed it!! we laughed because you said "Christ did It All" ....Now I wish we had sang it because I found out that this was one of your favorites....  Mom I want to let you know that I never had a problem out of Melchih during rehearsals..yes he would act silly and laugh like the other children but when it was time to sing he straighten right up...I loved that about him!! I will never forget you Little Drummer Boy :)

This is your pastor. Words cannot express how much I am going to miss you Melchih.

The first time you walked in the Temple you ran up to me and said, "I play the drums". From that time, it was on. You beat on the drums, the padded pews, the back of chairs, broken tamborines, whatever surface you could find.

I remember the one Tuesday night at VOD rehearsal you came up to me and ask if you could play the drums and I told you at the end of rehearsal. YOU DIDN'T MOVE THAT NIGHT, you waited. When you finally got on the durms I ask what song and you said with a BIG smile BRIGHTSIDE. After the song we applauded you gave us that BIG SMILE like you had just received a million dollars.. PRICELESS! Everytime we sing that song I will think of you playing the drums that night.

Saturday morning the childrens dance ministry was practicing and as always you found the drum sticks (that steve often would have to hide from you and Redman), the last thing I said to you was Dont you get on those drums while they are rehearsing. You looked at me and said I won't... and you begin to beat on the pews. Im going to miss you SO MUCH!!!!

When we would begin to dance and praise God... you would be the leader for all the children to join in and dance. Im going to miss you!!!!!

Micah
I remember the last time you where at the house, you and the boys took over the down stairs and played play station till God knows when. I can remember the laughter and joy you had. I am going to miss you so much, but I know you are in heaven right now playing the drums for Jesus

Hi, I wanted to tell you how devastated we are. Melchih would follow me, stop me in the hall, and make sure he hugged me every day at school! He also would BEG me to be star student every week after music and would always say, "I was good today, wasn't I?" In fact, he would leave his desk and sit up at the table by Mrs. Booth-Winslow so he could "see better" (be by me) during music class. What love. I never saw him sad or angry. Always happy with that sweet smile that was a light in his eyes. Zemira is the same way, too. What beautiful spirits. I have a picture of Melchih, Zemira, and a grandma. Forgive me, but I can't remember which one. It is a beautiful picture that you are welcome to have. I can email it or post it, if you like. I am praying that God is with you all. Know that Melchih is now God's "Star Student", and I will miss him very much. Much love to all, Elaine Robertson, Music, Forest Park

I still can not believe that ur gone Chi man I remember the day we met.  I was so excited to that I was becoming a aunt all over again.  I was too young to be there for my first nephew, but then u came along and we were so happy that Khilie let us come up there to see you.  Up untill then I would have to say that was the best time ever for me......there are so many different moments that I recall u making me smile but it saddens me to say that I havent seen that smile in 6 years because I moved away.  Even though I havent been apart of ur life thinking of u just makes me smile.  After I returned from Iraq the first time ChiChi when ur mother brought u by to see me u had the biggest smile on ur face like u actually remembered me and I cant tell u how that made me feel inside.  Each time I was able to come back to Ohio u still smilled at me,  I promise I will never forget you ever I will always remember you just like you did for me... It hurts to know that in Aug I was bringing your cousins up to meet you I know u would have loved them.  I love you so much and u will always be remain in my heart R.I.P...
